After seeing a lot of (appropriately) outraged comments on my Facebook feed to the recent news that some wild dolphins are being found mutilated, shot and stabbed, I felt compelled to create this graphic. So many who advocate for treating animals humanely sadly fail to make the connection to what is being done legally every day to defenseless human beings in the name of "choice," "rights," and "freedom."
It is worth noting that it became illegal to "harm, harass or kill" wild dolphins under the Marine Protection Act of 1972. Each offense is punishable by up to $100,000 and one year in jail.
Only one year later, in 1973, it became legal to terminate the life of a pre-born human baby at any age.
